After 6 days in Romania, I am back in Chernivtsi. It is good to be back, and over the next few days I will post the journal entries I wrote while away. I saw some really beautiful things and some really horrific things and I hope no one is offended but I plan on discussing both.
I was really hoping that most of the snow would have melted during these past few days. I don't know why I kept naively thinking that it might, given that it snowed just about everyday we were in Romania. Still, I was in for quite a surprise we when hit the Ukraine-Romania border crossing today and it looked like this:
I am sick of snow. I am sick of having to walk with such care and hesitation. UGH.
Instead of thinking that this will melt any day now, I am going to play a mental trick on myself and just go ahead and pretend that it won't all be gone until April 1st. If it isn't gone by April 1st, you will hear me complain again. I will try not to complain again until then.
Teaching tomorrow. Heading to bed!

WOW. So THAT is what I had prepared myself for weather wise... you and Jeff were not kidding when we discussed how warm and lovely my weather was! Selfishly, I am so glad that was not the reality because I wouldn't have been able to SEE anything I don't think!
I am definitely interested to hear about Romania, both the beautiful and the horrific. I love you! Your blog continues to be such a wonderful tale of your adventures. I can't wait to help you put it with all of your photos into a special book! :)
I love you sweet friend - God Bless
