Monday

Slept late. Had the leftover holubsee THAT I MADE for lunch. I am very proud!

Went shopping. Bought a pair of boots. Boots are big here, so they have beaucoup de choices. I am seriously getting into this Chernivtsi lifestyle.

Jeff suggested since we were out and we were getting hungry that we eat an early dinner (early for us is 6) at Efes, a Turkish restaurant here. I believe it was the first restaurant we ate in in Chernivtsi bc Mykola pointed it out to us and told us they had pizza. Our options were so limited when we first got here. We were clueless. We couldn’t read street names or the names of restaurants or any menus. We figured we could handle pizza. It turns out they had English menus, so we were able to order other things too. Consequently, I’ve never had pizza there. I always order Efes, their special. It is just like the dishes I ate in Turkey…chicken, potatoes, mushrooms, and tomatoes, all sautéed together with some cheese on top.

Jeff decided to eat his pizza Ukrainian style, with ketchup and mayonnaise.

Then we checked out the new restaurant in town, Chicken House. First time I have seea chickenndwich in Ukraine!

I stopped by the gym and worked out after dinner. Then I enjoyed a leisurely walk back to the flat. I’m easing back into this workout thing slowly.

Tonight, I began putting some things away that will not be on the return flight.

Feels good to clean out and give away!

I see Jeff's chess set in one of your pictures, did you ever play a game with him? Britt will give you tips on how to stress him out.
