Well, it is a good thing I had a big day in the city yesterday bc now I am sick.
On Saturday, I saw two things of Kleenex and began to think about cleaning out this place. What was I going to do with things like that? Slowly over the weekend, I’ve developed some kind of nasty cold, sinus infection, or something. I haven’t spent much time out of bed today. Those Kleenex are almost gone. I also just took the last Tylenol Sinus, which means if I don’t feel better tomorrow I am going to have to have a native speaker go to an Apteka for me.
We leave one month from the day I am writing this to return to the US. Wow. I have been here for 3.5 months.
I have recently done inventory of lots of other items to see what I need to ration, what I can use freely, and what I can begin to give away.
I have 15 Splenda left for about 24 more days in Chernivtsi. I have an abundance of granola bars and will share some with my classes. I have gifts I need to give. I have entirely too many shower caps and soaps from hotels.
I just went through and cleaned out some papers that had accumulated. Good thing to do on a sick day. It amused me to go through my lists from January to see all that I had written. I even had one list from November 2009, the weekend after the WWII exhibit opened. It was the first chance I had had to catch my breath in months, and it hit me that weekend that if I was leaving the country for an extended period 2 months later, I had A LOT to do. January, in fact, was a blur of preparing to come here.
Jeff cooked dinner tonight. I chilled. After I thought all the Tylenol Sinus was gone, I began thinking of how we were going to get medicine similar to it. Then, just now, I found 3 more doses of it. Can’t believe it. I scoured that medicine bag twice earlier! I am now going to hold my own little Te Deum in gratitude.
I just took some, so hopefully I will sleep tonight. No pics today.
